Recently purchased my Brigham Klondike at the Richmond show. Love the pipe, but can't smoke with the filter when the stem is pushed all the way in. Collects a lot of moisture, and has no draw. Also can't get a pipe cleaner all the way to the bowl. Any suggestions?

Really kinda defeats the purpose of buying a Brigham if you take the filter out. You might need to disassemble the thing, and trim off the end of the filter for a better fit. You can run a pipecleaner through the filter too, make sure the draft hole in the bowl and the shank is clear, then reassemble the pipe. Good luck!

A couple of things. Make sure that you remove the filter each time AFTER the pipe has cooled and give the pipe a good going over with a fluffy pipe cleaner. Make sure you air out your filters completely. I assume you have a pack of 8. Maybe keep them in rotation if you want to smoke the pipe regularly. Lastly, the draw may seem really constricted, but try the draw before putting any tobacco in the chamber so you know what its natural draw is like and then pack your bowl and test the draw. If they are basically the same, try that. I find my Brigham really feels like it has a restricted draw after smoking cobs, but it actually smokes really well. Happy smoking! :puffy:

Ya mate , I have alot of Brigs and I like em. The filters work well and yes the draw may seem a bit restricted but it really isn't. Does not take much draw for a Brig. Here, however is a bit of a tip. As you use, and wash the filters under really hot tap water, I do find that after a few washes, the filters may swell a bit from use. I take a bristle cleaner and run it tru the filter after it dries. Just helps to keep them open a bit more. Brigs are good smokers and they WILL take a cleaner all the way to the bowl, mid-way tru the smoke. You just have to bend the cleaner and practice quite a bit untill you get the knack.
Always remember, and please don't ever forget (taken from Snyder off One Day at a Time), no pictures equals useless post hahahahah
