I recently found a seller on Etsy that had some nice looking pipes. One in particular I really liked. I went ahead and bought it on a whim.
Anyway, he said he's been making pipes for 45 years and this one was made from 100yo briar (not sure that can be proved).
Upon receiving the pipe, it's as gorgeous as I thought it would be. As you can see from the pics, it has straightish grain on one side and a birdseye on the other.
What is strange though...I can't find any info on him on pipedia. Usually if a maker is known, something will be on there...
