Break Through

So last night I finally had a break through. It had been a week since the last time I smoked my pipe; mostly due to being frustrated on not having a good smokes with the pipe. Well last night I tried again and I smoked the whole bowl without re-lighting, had good taste the whole way, and the pipe didn't get to hot. Was a very enjoyable smoke. From a rookie puffer to other rookie puffers, patience is key. Here's to many more great bowls hopefully.

I'm still relighting quite a bit, but it doesn't seem to bother me too much. The flavour is still there, I just have to re-light in particular after about half way through the bowl. At an upcoming pipe night I'm hoping to get a few pointers from some old pros but it hasn't spoiled my enjoyment to date. I've only been smoking a pipe for a month and a half now.

Good news, Salsa - keep at it!

BTW, I have to put up with an additional factor during the rainy season where I live; humidity has a considerable effect on my relighting situation and also tends to alter the taste and smell of tobaccos. But one learns to adjust to that as well. ::
