Brass Zippos

I just recently got my first brass armored zippo. I quickly noticed that the chimney hasn’t become black yet like all of my chrome zippos have almost instantly.
Is this unique to the brass zippos or am too quick to jump the gun.

I've got the same armored brass lighter with the pipe insert. The top cover of my chimney is hardly black except for the outer edges slightly. The sides are pretty black.

My chrome pipe insert does as well. I noticed the classic insert does a little better.

Mine is completely black. Functions without an issue.

I know this is off topic, but it struck me that "BRASS ZIPPOS!!!" has great cussing potential. I might try it next time hammer and thumb collide.

I've had to clean this one a handful of times. This shot is fairly clean looking

Haven't noticed a difference between my chrome replica 1941 replica and the brass vintage - both black.
