I saw that. I worried I would break it if I truly used it for walking.
If my PAD wins, I would probably just use the bowl cap config on the walking stick
Those pop up from time to time.

Al Pascia put this up on their Website yesterday. The entire pipe is made out of Briar and horn, nearly 1 meter in length, and a Briar cap for the pipe that also doubles as a top knot on the stick when smoking your pipe. Pretty damn cool if you ask me. It's 930 Euros though.....

I'm with @telescopes on this one. Using it as a stick is a prescription to disaster. I do think that as you plan to use it would be more than acceptable.
I saw this (or one similar to it) on Corti. I would love to see this in person.
