I've smoked through about the first half of my first tin of Early Morning Pipe and am loving it. Does anyone have recommendations for similar tobaccos?

It's been a while since I've smoked EMP, but my memory is that it's an oriental-forward English. (If my memory is wrong, though, these suggestions may be way off!)
You might really enjoy Rattray's 7 Reserve, which is a "softened" version of Red Rapparee, substituting some cavendish for some of the Virginias in the latter blend. There's no cavendish in EMP, so that may sway this one too far afield for you. But you might like it anyway, regardless of how closely it mimics EMP. And if you'd prefer a stronger oriental kick, then Red Rapparee would certainly deliver the goods.

I've just tried some EMP thanks to the generosity of Pitchfork, thanks again man!
I like it very much, although it's a bit too mild for my preferences.
I have no experience with Turkish/Oriental leaf and noted it's profile in EMP as it's something I've yet to taste.
Could this be considered a "light Balkan" ?
I'm just now exploring Lat blends and so far have stuck with classic English blends with no Orientals because I was unsure of how I'd take to a Balkan mixture, but if EMP is an indicator, then I got a long road of discovery ahead of me!

I don't know, I find most of the EMP alternatives miss the mark. I just stick with EMP for that reason. If you want a blend that has a similar kind of strength and punch without the oriental flavour though, el ricon de la pipa#1 I find to be a bit similar but without the oriental flavour. I suggest just stick with EMP though if you like it, it's amazing.

If you're looking for another light, easy English I'd recommend Ashton Consumate Gentleman. Probably more latakia than EMP, but still rather sweet (not in the same way as a topped blend) and lighter than most traditional English blends.

You can't replace EMP w. R7R ... EMP is perfect with coffee in the morning. R7R is excellent, but the orientals drown in the cavndish. RRR is much fuller than EMP. I love RRR and smoke it a lot. Personally, I prefer the stronger tobacco later in the day. EMP equals a good morning for me. But ofcourse, at the end, it is a matter of taste.

Very fine smokes, indeed!
It was all a personal reflection. I've smoked EMP every morning for years. As RRR is a great mixture, I have had it for moring coffee, but I find it a little strong for my mood at dawn. It has to be EMP. I like stronger blends during the day with tea or coffee.

I just cracked open a tin of Chelsea Morning this afternoon. The smell is very similar to EMP, and the flavor is somewhat similar in the smoke. However, CM has more latakia and has stronger "legs" in the VA's. Plus, it's a rougher cut (pressed, then "tumbled into ribbons"), so the different flavors come and go throughout the bowl. It's a much more complex smoke, but EMP is so delicately balanced and the thin ribbons make packing and lighting a breeze. I think of EMP (like 965) as being akin to fine French cuisine -- everything is balanced and integrated to perfection, while CM is more like the kind of cuisine that foodies get excited about -- fresh, natural ingredients, bold flavors and it lets the individual components speak for themselves. YMMV,etc.

Chelsea Morning is a very interesting blend.

I can only get GLP blends from Schwizerland, price USD25 for 50 g! Way too expensive, so I haven't tasted any of them!

I've never smoked EMP, so I can't compare, but Daybreak by H&H is a nice light english that is light on the latakia.
