Used to be a hectic part of the year people looking for a bargain. It seems it getting a lot of action now days. Three people got shot today just 5 min from where I live. It's rather quiet neighborhood, but I guess Black Friday is too close for comfort. No more in person shopping on Black Friday, not that I bothered before.

Years ago in the late '90s a woman was shot over a Furby at a local Walmart. Every year several hospital visits are registered resulting from Black Friday fights here. A few years ago there was a group shooting out car windows parked at retailers to steal TVs and other items bought at BF sales while the owners were at other stores looking for deals.

I can picture a few dudes on here wrestling over a bag of Stonehaven, but not pulling out a .45 to determine the winner. Us folks on here are just more civilized sensible, I guess.

There's only one place to be on Black Friday - Home! I took advantage of a few really good bargains on the internet but there's no way I'm venturing out to battle those lunatics fighting and shooting over a flat screen tv or video game.

Some bushcraft/outdoor pants (Fyällräven Vidda Pro)
And my first quality hybrid Axe (Hultafors Åby Forest Axe)
i save up a lots of money it was worth it !

I’m starting a forest ranger class in March i figured it was the best time to get some quality stuff ! But yes , off the grid is my main goal with my wife !

Though we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, most shops have a blackfriday sale. People aren't that crazy like we see on the USA black Friday, but shops are quite more busy. I tend to avoid shops in general, around the holidays I avoid shops even more. Hurray for delivery at home, mostly for free. I even get my groceries delivered on my doorstep, if I factor costs and time I spend going to a shop it isn't expensive at all.

I wish there was a Gold Friday. This would be a holiday sales event where everything was just expensive enough where NO ONE but my self would be out shopping. Yeah, I’d pay lots extra not to have to deal with shoppers lol.

I've never really thought of it as the "grid" but kids are home, eating too much and she definitely has me off it! Maybe I'll try some form fitting woolens!

It was cold and windy yesterday morning so an empty golf course with one of the dogs was a perfect place to avoid crowds - I felt a little guilty, the wife and girls went out to score some quick BF ornament deals at the local Hallmark store and I enjoyed the hour of peace and quiet.

I succumbed to peer pressure and scored a couple of pipes online and made a contact about a possible future pipe -- some helpful folks on here!

Then . . . . the magic of the fourth quarter of the Iowa/Nebraska game!!!!!! My stomach still hasn't unchurned.

Got my razor in. Man, it's more aggressive than my open combed Merkurs! Closest thing to a straight razor I've ever used!
