Trying out a Bjarne pipe I haven’t used in over 20 years. Not sure why I stopped. Great pipe.

It's an egg shape with the shank joining the bowl a little higher than on most egg shape pipes. If I remember, Mogen Johansen, who makes Johs pipes was a carver for Bjarne before he went off on his own. I like my egg, a Genod, because it holds a deceptively large amount of leaf while being compact.

Yes it does hold a good amount of leaf. Smokes well and cool. I gave up smoking a number of years ago due to health issues inthe family. I stopped in support. Those issues are now gone and I picked it up again about a year ago. I’ve got about two dozen pipes still and some 20 year old tins in my cellar and am starting to start exploring again. I find it relaxing and now that I’m retired I’m enjoying it more.
