Birthday presents and cribbage

Back in June I got a very nice Birthday present, my first Peterson from a buddy of mine. His present was very unexpected and very generous Since I have been working on a present for him. He is a Marine and his birthday falls on the same day as the Marine Corps. I know this is belated but he has been deployed and I will be sending this to arrive around the same time he returns. It is a cribbage board.. I made it from an old youth model gun stock. Also I know many of you are Marines so I knew you would appreciate this. Thanks for your service!!!!

Shaintiques as a Marine and a Cribbage player I can say with confidence....

My Dad (a Marine Corps DI) was born the day before the Marine Corps Birthday... So, I tease him about being older than the Marines. He was the one that taught me to play Cribbage.

For those unfamiliar with Cribbage... You're missing out.

Cribbage is VERY popular in the Navy, too. It's the "Official Game" of the submariner service.

Super neat! I am neither a cribbage player nor a Marine. But have an appreciation for the art involved in the boards and the courage displayed by the marines.

That's great! My wife loves cribbage. I have a hard time getting into it but I know it gets addicting.

Well maybe we could play next time I am at the briary Lawrence. I am going to be there for the Nording meet and greet in February, but it will be pretty crowded I expect.
