Does anyone know if this shop is still in business? I placed an order with them more than two weeks ago, never received it, and never received any answers to my emails. Today I tried calling their phone number, and it is apparently out of service.
Any info would be appreciated -- Thanks!

Me too, that's my thought..
Unless you've used these guys before and really like them... I'd look to some other sites, like pipesandcigars.com or smokingpipes.com (who are site sponsors). They are excellent.
I googled bigsmokes and it seems that people have had these same issues with them, for years.
I'd get my money, watch the statements for fraud, and run from them. I hope it works out for you!

Yes, I paid for the order, but no problem with my credit card company reversing it. Thanks for pointing out they've had problems before.
I usually deal with 4noggins or Iwan Ries, both with excellent service, but these guys had a good price on a Peterson System pipe, and I can't resist a Peterson! Should've done my research.

FWIW I always email an unknown online store first just to see if I get a reply. I've written a couple of shops and never got a reply, and so I never went back. It's tricky to tell if a shop is real or just a front to snag credit cards.
One other thing to do with new stores you've never ordered from is to ask this forum if anyone has used them before.
Good luck to you - and definitely contact your credit card company right away.

They don't exist - why the site is up is anyone's guess. Whether it's a scam or someone just... didn't shut it down. But no one gets anything from them, and they are "carrying" all kinds of unavailable stuff, like Gawith blends.

And yet I got an initial e-mail from them two weeks ago acknowledging my order! :?:

Probably an automatic e-mail. Small business that maybe went under and never shut the site down? Which is strange because that all costs money to operate. Even processing your payment takes money... so who knows what the heck their problem is.
If you can't reach them by e-mail or phone get your money back ASAP.
