Biggest Estate Pipes Lot Jackpot

I was in the middle of doing an experiment, which I was planning to share here for science.
The idea was to get a couple of buddies to let me use their address in ebay, so I could see and bid listings that wouldn't ship to Germany otherwise. After 30 days i wanted to compare what I got from all three regions and see how they compare. A couple of weeks in and Germany was beating the other regions by a lot, but I managed to get pipes in the US and UK which would have been very hard to find here, at least for a reasonable price.. after receiving a lot that somehow survived 2 hours on ebay before I saw it - i can cut the experiment short and without a doubt declare Germany as the absolute winner as the best location to hunt for pipes of any brand! There we some accessories too to this lot but they are irrelevant at this point. The notes were just fast notes i took but they will be enough to get an idea.

apperantly Germany just simply has more pipe smokers per person then any other country. I think they don't want us to know because Berlin are has enough imports from around the world.

Just by your posts, I could’ve told you that you’ve got way better eBay selection than anything I come across.

Just by your posts, I could’ve told you that you’ve got way better eBay selection than anything I come across.

To be completely honest, both US and UK had way more interesting pipes than Germany. The UK had all the old Petes and well... English pipes... The US had a bigger concentration of modern rare or limited edition pipes. Germany "wins" just by brute force and sheer numbers.
As honorable mentions - Israel with a couple of gorgeous Parkers and Australia with a true unicorn - a sculpted Pete system 314.

That Stanwell reg. era handmade looks like a chess series pipe. Here's mine, a Rook. Likely made by Celius for Stanwell. I'd put yours in the same category.

Funny thing is, I wouldn't typically say it's the worst pipe in a random assortment of 30+ pipes, but... It's probably the worst pipe in that lot.
