I am a pipe smoker, not a collector. I have two Big Bens. One is an Oxford bent. The other is a small point. The Oxford was part of a 49 dollar starter kit. This is the pipe bargain of the decade. This is a great smoking pipe, typical Danish pipe. It's such a deal I bought another.

My brother sent me a Big Ben during his travels in Europe. I was surprised at how easy the break in process is going and now its in my weekly rotation.

I have one of their dromedaries, and it's a great smoker.

Love 'em all!! Great smokers all!! 9mm all - my specs. The only way to improve them would be if they were to have vulcanite instead of acrylic stems/bits... I would find that more comfortable. But, that being said, I bought them all when they were on sale various times and various places and paid under $100 for each... WELL under a hundred for the Saturn and the Cambridge. I heartily recommend Big Ben pipes for substantial pipe-bang for the buck!!

PC comes up with some real good prices on Big Bens. I bought a churchwarden (Lectura) from them for a Dr. Grabow price. Big Bens are fine pipes, comparable to Stanwell and Savinelli, I believe. If you find one you like in terms of appearance, it will likely be good in terms of craftsmanship and smoking. A few years ago, they were not readily available, limited in selection, and rather expensive, but now they have appeared widely on the U.S. market at low prices. I say, go for them.
