I have a big ben mirage too, mine is a knock off but still smoked well if a little hot. and I managed to add a hair crack in the stem when emptying it
Your post reminded me that I wanted to try a gaffa tape repair but hadnt got round to it until now..
Real crude but let's see if its works...
