I've never had a Big Ben pipe before, but came across, by chance, a Big Ben Bruyer Deluxe billiard. It's probably a mistake to by on impulse, but the chamber is exceptionally large, which I've been looking for in a billiard. What's the collective opinion about Big Ben pipes?

My first non-Dr. Grabow pipe was a Big Ben. I happily smoked many pounds of Tinder Box ~ Anniversary in that pipe. My pipe was an estate from the 70's, so I cannot speak for current production pipes. That being said my pipe was of comparable quality to a Savinelli or Stanwell, god I miss that pipe....lost it in a move from California to Indiana.

Here
I have a Big Ben churchwarden I got from P&C two months ago.
It's a smaller Dublin bowl and gets warm quickly, but is a decent smoke.

I recently bought a Big Ben octagonal calabash shaped estate and it's a fantastic smoker and a great looker.

I think they're Dutch made. Dutch engineering in general is pretty good. I like my Big Ben straight Dublin churchwarden Lectura. Unlike jaytex's, the bowl does not heat up. I think they are durable and well-made, somewhat along the lines of Stanwell.
