anyone know the best way to contact Yanik and if he's currently taking commissions? I messaged him a few days ago but am not sure on the best way to reach him or his response time, or if it just went to spam. I emailed ssder@syanik.com

So I did end up reaching out to Yanik about the Norwegian mythology pipe. And while he is enthusiastic and interested in doing it, he would want to do it quite large to capture the detail at a price I don't know if I can convince the wife to.

That said, he did offer to do it smaller at a cheaper price, but I fear it would lose a lot of detail.

In the meantime, however, I decided to commission a Halloween "nosewarmer". I put nosewarmer in quotes because it's 4.5 inches, which I understand is what most consider a nosewarmer size, but it's pretty hefty.

Straight stem has no drilling issues. I know some have expressed concerns that he stopped using fitted cases and started using boxes, however, if you commission a pipe he is happy to do whichever you prefer. I asked for a fitted case.

Again, I used ChatGPT for the basic design, told him it didn't need the silver band and that he was free to take creative license on the face. Here's the basic idea I sent him:

And here's the pipe he crafted. Looking forward to some autumn blends in it this fall...
