I said I wasn't going to post this until tomorrow, but with all the traveling and now winding down, Christmas night is providing the chance to sit back, smoke a pipe, and start this crazy ass game. So, here goes. I'll post the nominees momentarily but first let's go over the rules.

To begin with, each blend will be awarded 10 hit points. Once a blend reaches zero hit points, it is eliminated and cannot be revived. Once per calendar day (according to your own local time), you get a vote. If you miss a day, you can't vote twice.

A vote is simple: You deduct a point from one blend and transfer it to another.

Note: Any user on this site can vote daily, whether you nominated a blend or not.

I'll cast the first vote and I'll note the blends affected by italics and a bolded number. Here goes:

-1 Country Squire Cowboy Coffee
+1 AC Peterson Escudo

As far as blends go, we've got a metric shit load to choose from. Last year's final 2 are absent from the list (Rich Dark Honeydew and Dunhill/Peterson Flake) but some of the fun-to-pummel blends are still around. Notably, Pegasus. That one got heated, so it'll be interesting to see how it goes this time around.

Last year, there wasn't a single GLP blend on the registry but this time around, Greg's clocking in with five, tying GH as the second-most represented, but Cornell & Diehl is the blending house to beat here. There's half a dozen C&D's on the list and C&D fanatics love those blends like mistresses.

Once the game's firmly afoot we'll introduce some rule changes to keep it interesting. Thankfully, many of you remember the game and so we can count on it being an amusing debacle.

Oh, and one last thing... @Servant King nominated Orlik. Do with that information what you will. And with that, the game is on.

@jbfrady so it's gonna be like this, eh? Tisk tisk...I expected more out of you.

Wait, I mean less. I expected less. I'm pleasantly surprised, for the first time in quite a while...I think the last time this happened, Dunhill was still around. I might have to rethink the entire scope of what I base my happiness around. But I'll wait until the end of this contest to do that, since I might need full on primal scream therapy at that time...

-Savinelli Doblone d'Oro - the tins I bought a few weeks back are no more Doblone d'Oro than I'm Tinkerbell. Whatever Mac Baren was putting in those tins these days was a poor substitute from what I enjoyed when it came out in 2014.
I’ll not have you selling yourself short on this thread. You’d make a splendid Tinkerbell!
