Ive had two pipes with bent vulcanite stems. Each had the same issue.
In the section of the bend, large chunks of loose black material i had to knock out with something firm to get the pipes to actually let air through.
but the first one, the stem became a whistle after the chunks were dislodged.
The second one, a peterson system, only had a good draw before and after with SHAG tobacco.
is this a sign of bad drilling, or of bending the stem too hard?
