Becker Question

First let me say that this is in no way designed to be or inspire inflammatory response or imply anything negative regardless of if the answer is yes or no. I am simply asking out of curiosity and a desire to know what might happen or not happen down the road. It seems like Becker pipes are flowing as fast if not faster than before Paolo passed. Does anyone know if this is due to his son taking the reigns and making pipes under the family name or if he simply had a large number of finished pipes. Either way it is a great boon for collectors who would like to own a Becker but I am curious to know. Personally I hope the brand lives on and stays in the family but my opinions means little in such matters.

I know that the Briary has had a few shipments of new Beckers come in, and the move out about as fast. Skip has mentioned that Becker has a guy in the US that handles his accounts here. I would imagine that they are just taking respectable advantage of the boom in demand and dumping everything on the market to feed us hungry for his designs.
I've also noticed that prices haven't soared. I picked up a new Becker a couple of weeks ago for the exact same price as one in it's same class that I got last year. So, at least my source isn't gouging us.

I suspect it's available pipes hitting the market.
I've heard that while his son will take the reigns, he's not as talented by a fair shot. I've not seen anything made by him but this was from someone whose opinion I respect. I suspect we'd know if it was his work if that's the case.
I hope my source is wrong!

Weird, I've heard just the opposite via the distributor through Skip. I know it's just grapevine stuff, but it's been going around that his son has been working with him on his pipes. But, only time will tell. I'm actually anxious to see what he does. I hope the pipes are in line with his dad's style.

Federico Becker (Paolo's son), has been working with his father on making Becker pipes for 11 years. Paolo himself has said that many Becker pipes have more of Federico's work in them than his own. Federico has already publicly stated that he is continuing the Becker name and will be making all Becker pipes himself.
