OK Jesse, tell us about this set of Barlings. It looks like the seller didn't give us much for pipe shot details, but this is only an average of $128 per pipe, which seems OK.

The pipes, going by the shape numbers, and the one picture of the markings pre-date the 1962 Catalog.

There's not a whole lot a can tell you about this set of Barlings because the poster didn't make the effort to photograph them properly. Must be why the set sold for bottom dollar and why the other listing was cancelled.
The catalog is an original copy of the 150th Anniversary Catalog that Barling published around June of 1962. It's notable for several things. First off, it was the first catalog they published in many years. Secondly, it introduced the new model numbering system, a 4 digit number whose first digit ranged from 2 thru 6. This first digit represented the size of the chamber, replacing the SS thru EXEXEL size stamps. The earlier British and American numbering systems were discarded. Lastly, a close examination of the images revealed that Barling had reintroduced the use of a small "Barling's Make" logo, similar to their late 1930's logo, for pipes bearing the new model numbers.
As for the pipes included in the listing, it's hard to be sure with such poor photography, but some of them look like they could clean up very well, others look a bit more chewed up. The 3 digit model numbers suggest that they're American market, but both English and American pipe lines also had pipes with 2 digit model numbers. I'll look at my lists to see if either of the 2 digit numbers turn up as specifically English or American.
