My first new Barling has arrived, a very refined looking Prince in Marylebone- Ye Olde Wood.
The inside of the bowl is pristine and it is light and of perfect proportion to me.
The stem does not work with Vauen 9mm filters which shoot fore and aft when you puff even gently. Peterson 9mm filters fit just fine.
There are minor gaps of the fit of the bit into the wood, but barely noticeable. The play when installing the bit is a tad looser than I am used to. I hope it doesn’t become an issue with use.
