So post family ownership?
Yep. 1965 to 1969.
The name is possessive with Family Era pipes, as in BARLING'S. Apostrophe followed by an "S". Whether script or block letters.
But I'll tell you this. My first Barling pipe was a Corporate Era pipe like this one, and it was, and still is, one of my favorite smoking pipes. I have a fair number of 1962 Family Era Barling pipes, with the possessive logo and the newer model numbers, and they're excellent smokers and go for MUCH less than other Family Era pipes. Why? Maybe because "collectors" buy nomenclature. Maybe because collectors are ignorant about the company's history. Or, maybe a lot of collectors are just plain stupid. I don't know, nor do I care. I just get great deals on excellently made pipes because they go begging.
