Nice looking pipe, I'm sure it'll smoke well for you! The 1963 attribution by the seller is wrong. Peterson's wasn't appointed the US Barling distributor until May of 1966. Peterson's held the role some 11 years until distribution was taken away from them and given to Wes Myer's in the summer of 1977. More importantly the Brigadier model was only introduced at the very end of 1971, so your pipe dates from the 5-6 years between December 1971 and August of 1977. See below for promotional copy (not, I suspect, to be taken literally) prepared for a trade notice published at launch:

Thank you for the awesome information and i always take sellers information with a grain of salt, just didn’t have a lot of time to look this up and really liked the pipe and am starting to collect more “intact” pipes just as a fun part of the hobby, less to smoke and more because hey it’s a 50 yr old pipe with the box and sleeve and inserts, and it’s gorgeous.

although i would have been happier to pay $17.50 for it ?
