Bamboo time

Well I actually went fly fishing yesterday with my Garrison 204 sporting the second reel I ever purchased new, a Saracione Deluxe 2 3/4" with Arne Mason hard leather case.
Hit the pond at my fish & game club and managed 5 hits and 2 lost flies, but what fun, smoked my MM Mark Twain Cob the whole time.
Now I decided I needed some more bamboo so I grabbed the 5 knuckle bamboo shanked Egg with plateau top and amber style stem by Bill Shalosky filled with Comoy's Cask 7 keeping it smokey.

Well yeah! That's a great bamboo shanked pipe banjo! How long is it? Can't believe you're clenching it. Very cool... :clap:

I'll measure it tomorrow Orley it's in the mailbox where I'll relight it with my morning coffee, it is actually hanging behind my top teeth and my bottom teeth with no clench I only have a couple that need a hand hold or clenching.

8O Wow that's a lot of bamboo. What were you fishing? Stripers are running here in the Miramichi and St. John.

Orley, it's 11" long.
davet, it is stocked with rainbow trout. Schoolies are beginning to show up here as well but the ocean temperature is 43f.
huntertrw, I like that idea, if we get a day with sun, or at least the grass doesn't slosh when you walk on it, I'll do that, regards all.
