Guild Pipes Bamboo Churchwarden Review
I have the pleasure of reviewing my newest filter pipe from Guild Pipes. Please reference the pictures. Words and my camera phone cannot due justice to the workmanship and quality of this pipe. Luckily, Guild Pipes allowed me to use the gallery pictures that were taken.
What I can describe is how unique and how well this pipe smokes. As I have indicated, this is a filter pipe. What is different is that I have the option of using either a 6mm or 9mm filter. From the pictures, you can see that he stem separate into two pieces. The 6mm can be fitted in the section closest to the bowl. The 9mm filter fits into the section closest to the bit. While I have not used the 6mm option, it will be useful when I am waiting for a 9mm filter order.
Smoking this pipe has been an experience that I would wish for any bother or sister of the briar. I am using 1Q to break in this pipe. But… The pipe has been a great smoker starting with the first bowl. Yes, the briar is settling in but it smokes cold and burns to the bottom. The only relights that I have to do is when I stop smoking for ten or so minutes or I’m trying to get the very last dottle of tobacco.
One final surprise about this pipe is how well it draws. I can tell you how smooth it is, how if you just think about it, it happens. Everyone will tell you that about their favorite pipe. How many can tell you that with the slightest breeze over the bowl, with a 9mm filter in place, smoke is coming out of the bit? This pipe has been doing this since day one.
Should you get a Guild Pipe? The better question is why shouldn’t you?
Regards,
TSMGLee

I have seen one other post regarding Guild Pipes, a few months back. Written in a suspiciously similar manner. I do believe it is more of an ad.
