Thanks, Ken. Regarding the stand, which I believe compliments the pipe, I was intrigued by how Japanese carpenters use nail less designs to join pieces. This follows that idea. Therefore, this piece, while it can be smoked, can also be a presentation piece, especially when gifting non-smokers/collectors. I'll have to incorporate a tamper and scraper to complete each set.
I've decided not to sell and just stick with the hobby, keeping it simple and fun, (the market is awash with cheap, foreign products at garage sale prices for new). I will share my ideas herein in case others wish to try it out.
As an afterthought. I will need to incorporate a plug, (using another piece of bamboo node) on the front to make this a true Cavalier.
