Bamboo Bonanza Trifecta PAD

Today was the Bamboo Bonanza Trifecta Day. I snagged the following three bad boys today, first a Blowfish Churchwarden with bamboo shank by Ted Bihlmaier, second a 1/4 bent straight grain Apple with bamboo shank by Bruce Weaver and finally a Cutty with bamboo shank by Jonas Rosengren.

Wow, love the Weaver and the JR. Fantastic looking pipes

That Weaver is stunning, the others are quite striking as well.

I like the blowfish best, really original but entirely smokable. The others are fine looking pipes,

but sedate by comparison. I'd have been thrilled to land any of the three.

I really enjoy watching a Vergin bowl color, my first ever experience is with a Capitello I purchased 30 odd years ago, I saw it when it looked nearly like that blowfish but a bit darker, it has aged very gracefully and nothing like a great patina to add to a great looking pipe.

OK, following the latest post and what I said about bamboo, that cutty is a rare miss for me. Don't know what it is but the bamboo on that shape just doesn't gel for me. The FIRST pipe you posted a pic of, however....

Those are some great looking pipes. Love the Bruce Weaver. The first pipe is unique but I'd problably hurt myself, maybe that's why it's a churchwarden, to keep it away from your face.
