Ohhh....bummer.
I got an email from SPC while I was WATCHING MY EMAIL for something else. I immediately went to SPC to order....and they were gone. Literally 4 SECONDS after I got the email.
Bummer.
I did get 2 tins of Maltese Falcon, but I never saw the Margate or Pembroke.
Wow, the demand is there.....

I was lucky enough to get a tin of Sobranie. A tobacco I never though I'd own. It was the brand my Father used to smoke and what got me interested in smoking a pipe in the first place. Thanks to Smoking Pipes for restricting the quantity of 1 tin per person so hopefully it doesn't all end up on eBay.

Some B&Ms sell them for less than $70/five can sleeve.

Whiteknight is actually pretty good, once dried out. My first experience was less than impressive. Only trouble is I blew my budget already so no more purchases in 2018.

Yes. I am also unable to tackle any sales for a while. I blew right past my budget when the Seattle Pipe Club blends were on sale. Thanks for the heads up, though! I am glad someone got some.

I was able to score one tin. Probably all I need as I have never had the blend before and want to experience the tobacco that so many others have.

With very few exceptions, these blends that are hard or nearly impossible to acquire, I don't even bother with trying anymore. I'd much rather find something readily available. And if it's something I've not tried before and like, at least I know I can usually go back and stock up on a few tins. But this madness of an announcement of a blend being in stock somewhere, just to go look and it's literally already sold out within minutes. It's pointless to me. And I'm certainly not going to pay three times or more the cost of a tobacco, especially if it's still in production.
