Azura Pipe: Information Please!

I was at Hill and Hill Tobacconist in Grosse Pointe Michigan this past week (6/24/24). Besides classic estate pipes, he also sells a local pipe maker Joseph Moraneic of Azusa pipes. He uses mainly Grecian Briar and his style are free form. The smoke is dry and crisp. Wonderful craftsmanship and a beautiful pipe. Worthy of an addition to a collection.

Question - does anyone else have any information or have ever smoked an Azura pipe?

Hi David - I can provide a little bit of information. I'm actually meeting up with Joseph tomorrow for a smoke.

His pipes are excellent and, as you say, provide a nice dry smoke. Most of what he does is completely freehand, and he's got a great eye for shaping, colors, and rustication. As far as I'm aware, he's only been selling pipes at Hill & Hill, but I'm going to be carrying his pipes starting this month in the hopes of getting the word out there. His pipes really are excellent and a STUNNING bargain given the price he's asking.
