It meets on sunday september 18th @ Manuel's tavern, North Highland Ave, Atlanta, Ga 30307. From 1-4pm. Ive never been but got an invite. Im sure its open to all comers.

I'd love to go, but I have to work... do have vacation in October, and if that month's meeting falls during it, I'd go for sure.

Totally not relevant to the thread (as I live in FL), but shaintiques your signature quote from Tolkien, is misinformed... It was actually Peregrin Took who said that TO Gandalf after being told to throw himself into a pit next time and rid them of his nuisance (Pippin had just caused some trouble by dropping some stuff down a pit).

Pip then responded by saying that he knew what was bothering him: he needed smoke!

Hey uapiper, it's nice to see someone from this part of the world on here. I live in Bremen, and you're the first pipe smoker I've run into on the forums from West Central GA. Too bad we don't have a B&M around these parts.

A couple of the cigar shops in Douglasville have some pipe tobacco but not much. Luckily I have family in Tusaloosa so I make semi regular trips through B'ham and can stop at The Briary. I've seen a couple of post talking about trying to get a club started on this side of the state, and I'd definitely be interested in trying to get a group together, just not sure where we could get together.

Hey guys, I live in Douglasville and am working on starting up a club here. I have a few guys here that are interested. I am going to the Atlanta group on Sunday so if you want to meet up and ride together I would be up for that. I was actually just out in Bremen this past weekend or around those parts as my buddy owns a lake out that way, anyway, pm me if you want to ride together. I am going to head out after church and I may be taking some guys from Dville too.

Douglasville has a place just off Chapel Hill that sells a limited amount of stuff. There are some better places here in Atlanta. You guys need to let me know what is going on. I am a native D'villian and live in Atlanta. Keep me posted, please!

Yeah will do, Im nailing down the date of the first official Dville pipe club meeting and will post it on here. I will be at the ATL meeting this sunday too, hoping to get some ideas from that one and also learn more of what is available in ATL, Have you been to the Briary in Bham, Al? Is there anything comperable in ATL?
