Asking for opinion/additional info on this pipe

Hello everybody,
I have just "won" a bidding for this used Peterson's Deluxe 11S at an online site. I haven't received the pipe yet, but I have some detailed photos from the seller - see below.
The marking on the pipe says "Peterson's Deluxe Special" 11S, and it has a golden band. (there seems to be some stamping on the other side of the head as well, but I cannot make it out from the photo).
I have read up on the Peterson Deluxe System pipes, but there is no mention anywhere about "Special" categories within the Deluxe series - and also not much about golden bands (I assume it is not real gold...).
I wonder if anybody can give me some insight about this pipe.

I just researched a Peterson with the help of some forum folks. They suggested two things;

1) Write to Peterson and ask. It seems they are pretty responsive.

2) When it arrives check the Hallmarks on the collar (Small marks under Peterson Dublin) It will give you the date of manufacture which will help you narrow your search (third mark, chart available on Peterson's web site).
On mine the collar was sterling and then plated in gold. I suspect yours is the same.
