First I want to say that I'm stunned by Al Pascia's lightning delivery. I have ordered from them before and it's always speedy...but this time was even faster. Ordered on Thu afternoon and delivered today...that's from Italy to my doorstep in the U.S. in 3 days if you don't count Sunday. Amazing. And they are such a class act with their packaging.

I've long been in love with Ashton Pebble Grains but have only owned one that I purchased several years ago, a full bent Dublin. It now has this companion:

Wait a minute....................... I thought you were a Meerschaum man through and through?.............. :)

LOL...nah, never been an absolute thing...I still smoke my briars, but meers are definitely my preference most of the time.

I considered attempting to get a Baki from Aliexpress which is sadly the only outlet for them now, but the "pipe store" on there selling them is a nightmare and I decided against it. Then I saw this particular Ashton and it jumped in my cart.

Nice pipe... packaging, and super fast delivery. I saw a pipe that I wanted at Al Pascia, but was reluctant due to its location. I might pull the trigger now. Were there any Duty/Customs’ fees?

Ashton's, including their pebble grains, are some of my favorite pipes to shop, though I have yet to buy one. Not to be snarky, but they seem to be what people are seeking in a White Spot, but with a less exalted price and better quality control. And only real pipe people know the name has prestige, so you aren't buying it for that (except for insiders). The finish on those is gnarly in the best sense.

I've never cared for bulldogs or rhodesians, but that one could be a mind changer.?
same here. I really don't care for bulldogs or rhodesians much (in pipe form, in dog form they're fine). Yet I really like this Ashton a lot. Everytime I convince myself I don't like something with pipes, someone comes along and proves me wrong about it. I don't like pipes over a thousand always tacky o.k. I have to buy that one. Not really into aros oh god this aro is a favorite.....
