Probably the last bamboo for the day since my cobs are sitting in the corner pouting. Keeping it smokey with more Dunhill Dark Flake in the VVVV Grade Kai Nielsen pinched paneled Dublin.

OMG. I have 2 bamboo stems split into 5 and 6 strip, respectively. Curing. I do not have the fortitude to begin the process of assembly into a rod. I have helped a builder do it many times but that was many, many years ago. I am so envious of your collection. Do you trade/sell or just collect? Or are you a pure accumulator and user?

aquadoc, admittedly the collection is different than pictured since I do sell, trade etc. but like my pipes all my fly rods get used or if they and I don't mesh, happens with pipes too, then they become trade fodder.
I have authored one book titled The Cracker Barrel, fishing and understanding the bamboo fly rod, it was also translated and printed in Japanese. I was one of seventeen authors who were in the book titled The Magic of Bamboo, the proceeds went to a member of the fly fishing forum I once owned, the Classic Fly Rod Forum, for his medical expenses for Cancer. Happy smokes.
