Just found these new plugs available in the UK. Century is the brand and I belive they're manufactured in the US. Anyone know who is making them?
If anyone tries any please let us know what you think.

Jamestown 1607 Plug
Jamestown 1607 Named after the first settlement in Virginia by the English in 1607. The Jamestown Plug is a Latakia based plug with a melange of 10 year old Orange and Red Virginia's pressed and sliced into dense plugs. A Beautifully well rounded plug that would not be out of place on the original tobacco plantations of Jamestown.

Picaroon 1690 Plug
Century Picaroon 1690 Named after the pirates that roamed the Indian Ocean around the late 17th century. The Picaroon Plug is a blend of Latakia, Turkish Orientals, Virginias, Cavendish & St James parish Perique leaf aged for 30 days in Kentucky Bourbon barrels.

Merchants Folly Krumble Kake
Merchants Folly Pipe Tobacco is a Krumble Kake tobacco, which is built on a base of Old Belt Red Virginia, which is then enhanced with stoved Cavendish. The blend has been finished with a top dressing of Vanilla and Whiskey for a beautifully well balanced smoke perfect for enjoying in your folly or when you are out pillaging on the high seas.

Charlestown Blockade Krumble Kake
Charlestown Blockade Pipe Tobacco is a Krumble Kake tobacco, which is blended from Aged Red Virginias to provide a sweet smooth smoke worthy of Captain Blackbeard himself.

Pirates Plunder Krumble Kake
Pirates Plunder Pipe Tobacco is a Krumble Kake tobacco, which is built on a base of Matured Virginias, which is then enhanced with earthy Burleys, tangy Cavendish and just a subtle hint of Latakia. The blend has been finished with a top dressing of rich Jamaican Rum for a beautifully well balanced smoke worthy of a pirates plunder.

They look good. Sutliff usually does good work, and make there blends readily available so you don't have to turn purple holding your breath for a drop.

I'd have liked burley somewhere in the mix, but I guess their theme was colonial era plugs, so the Virginia leaf matched that.

I hope so as people seem to rate that.
Picaroon sounds like plum pudding bourbon barrel aged and with the exception of Latakia, the Jamestown description reads identical to that of hogshead - I actually half wonder if the blend doesn’t include Latakia and that’s a typo. Lol.

All of this is of course musing from my arm chair on the other side of the world, and so most probably irrelevant

Never tried any Sutliff as it isn't available over here. I do have some of their Crumble Kake Red Virginia in the cellar, tho. A couple of them have Latakia in them so wouldn't interest me but the rest sound interesting.
so this might be their comeing over party then? and look at smudgers link and tell me if the loose ribbon ones sound like sutliff?

On one of the other sites selling these it had this written in the description:
"New Jersey based Century Tobacco Company. Over the years, the production factory passed through several USA companies following 'buy outs' whilst becoming the No.1 selling bulk (loose) in the USA."

Here's a 500g bag:

I don't know. I don't think Latakia was available in Jamestown colony during 1607. But I'm glad to say all the Syrian Lat hasn't been burned to ashes, yet per that date such less existed.
