In the semi-rural NorthEastern USA
looks like a really old school sample pack. Love the buy a tin part of the label as well as the legal notice which basically reads we didn't do nothing illegal and if we did may we pay for it. But my bet is trail size thing, my guess is it could fill a few pipes.

I made my best offer but I don't think I've secured it (Would have been the most I'd paid to date for a piece of Tobacciana). It seems to have garnered a fair bit of interest from others - nice to have seen it though.
You're not going to share what you offered?

What's the asking price?
Were I a collector of tobbaciana [which I'm not] I'd probably pay twice the cost of a rare tin for that one.
Not just rare but quite unique.

Companies often gave out sample packs of all sorts of things from a new brand of breakfast cereal to washing up liquid back in the day. I seem to recall sample packs of ciggies [A 5-pack if memory serves]

It's an excellent marketing strategy [if it's a good product that is] so I'm not sure why samples are a thing of the past.

A glass container may well display the contents but not sure if it would be something I'd want in a pocket, especially not near my sensitive bits.

I offered $100 - if anyone would like to contact the seller let me know and I can give you their details. I don't know if it sold, just that my offer was rejected and that was the highest I was willing to go.
