Anyone live in my area Fredericksburg, VA

I was wondering if there are any members who live in my area. It gets lonely smoking in the garage, in my car or on the front step I'm sure anyone in my area must have more knowledge than I do on our fabulous hobby being I just started in August. I just thought a little networking would be great. Maybe someone knows of a place who welcomes pipe smokers in their establishment to kick back and socialize.

Hello prettyinpink, I don't live anywhere near you. I'm all the way down here in Houston. I just hated to see your post sitting there all alone with no response. You can always hang out here with the guys and gals on Pipes Magazine. Glad your here.

Awe Dlattim, you're such a gentleman! Thanks for not leaving me hanging lol. So many members and it seems the same ones are always online. Can't for the life of me figure out what the rest of the members could possibly be doing all day that they arent on the site more often. :rofl:

I live pretty far away (Germany) but when I was looking for places to hang out and smoke I just looked for B&Ms around me. Most of them allowed smoking inside and had very friendly owners and fellow customers who like to make pipe friends.
If you can find a pipe shop that have house blends and a smoking room, you've hit the jackpot. Good luck!

Hi Rotschefeller. Yea I've found two shops near me but they really cater more to cigar and cigarette smokers. One of them may have a little more promis than the other. The next time I go in I'll get a bit nosey and see what they have going on. The last time I was in there I only saw info up on the board for cigar smokers.

I live up in Harford County, Maryland; not too far from you, but not too close either - you're about a two hour drive from me. But if you're ever going to find yourself up near Baltimore, let me know! There's a great tobacco shoppe here in Harford County called Main Street Cigar and Main Street Pipe Co., and they are pretty much the only public buildings in Harford County that you can smoke in. They cater to pipe smokers too, not just cigar enthusiasts, but as always it's considered polite to purchase something from them before you get back in one of their comfy chairs and light your pipe. There's also Fader's of Towson, but I do not remember if they allow smoking inside or not. Also, there's a lot of places in West Virginia that you can still smoke at - Charles Towne Casino still allows smoking inside, so I am sure that there has to be a tobacconist in WV that could be a cool place. I head down to Harper's Ferry and Charles Town every summer. I love it down there!

Yup, there is a bunch of us around NOVA. There is a pipe club, www.capsclub.org. Send Phil an email and get the schedule. We are a pretty crusty bunch but we do love the culture. There is a good shop in the Fair Oaks Mall, John B. Hayes, we hang there mostly and is good for pipes and cigars. One of their people is in the club, King. So stop by and ask. Hi Rondyr, yea thats a bit of a drive and you know how the DMV traffic is. Pipeinhand thanks so much for the info. A crusty bunch lol! I'm sure you all are a fun group of guys. I will definitly send an email and hopefully attend a meeting soon.
