I just haven't had any luck at all in finding a book that will help me learn to repair and restore estate pipes. If anyone knows of a book that even has a good section on this I'd really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks.

I learned most of what I know from Google.

From what I understand though, the best secrets of the professionals are not published knowledge, in books, online or anywhere else.

As far as I know there are no books on pipe repair and restoration. What I have learned I picked up by trial and error.

The Interwebs
The PIpe Maker's Forum is a wealth of information and a good research library for many of the issues you'll face, 990rick. And of course the forums here are populated with folks like uncle arthur and many others who have had a hand in woodworking and pipe repair to one extent or another. Questions and conundrums are always great topic starters!

I did see a CD offered on ebay "Old Briar" that may be useful. Never bothered to order it myself.

I saw the same Uncle Arthur. The author sells pipes on ebay and is a Grabow fanatic who posts primarily on the grabow pipe blogsite. He is very knowledgeable and a nice guy. I might just finally order it.

I bought it, it's not too bad but most of the information it contains you can find on google. Although it does have the historical rundown of Kawoodie and Dr. Grabow, but the bulk of it is articles posted in the Pipe Collector by the author, but not a bad read if your looking for a book dedicated to the pipe.

I don't mind learning by trial and error. Just thought there might be a shortcut. Thanks for the responses.
