Anyone Ever Smoke A Tuban-Style Pipe?

I’ve been looking at some of the Tuban style pipes onSmokingPipes, a design Dirk Heineman popularzed.

Interesting pipe Mike, I think I would gravitate to horn more than this though.

Quite unique. Zhang makes a great pipe. I have one and smoke it often.

The only issue i have with pipes that have heavily outward canted bowls or horn shapes is that i miss seeing the tobacco burning in the chamber. Also, a bit trickier to light. I once had a gorgeous Moretti horn with an absolutely cavernous bowl and loved to fondle it and appreciate it's stunning looks...but never smoked it much for the beforementioned reasons.

Will be interesting to see how you like it if you pull the trigger.
