Anyone Ever Have Wax Strip A Pipe?

i've never seen this before, i was waxing my pipe with some halcyon 2 and everything was fine but i looked at the pipe about 15-20 minutes later maybe longer and it appears to have stripped the bowl. it's not the end of the world but i was just curious if anyone has experienced this before, thanks

Very strange. I use Halcyon and have not encountered any issues.

I've never seen that with Halcyon II. Did you wipe the bowl down with anything beforehand? Maybe the existing lacquer (or whatever it was coated with) was thin...?
