I worked graveyard last night and a few people came in and started talking about there being an eclipse that night. Luckily I take my lunch around midnight and that's when the fun was supposed to happen although periodically through the night I went out to see the moon be engulfed by the shadow. It was pretty cool sitting on my lunch staring at the moon while puffing on my pipe, felt like I had a little Einstein in me HAHA.
Anyone else see it? I know most sane people were asleep being a work day but I was up so I had to watch. It was supposed to be a "blood moon" but it didn't seem to get very red. Granted, if I were to be in a darker area it may of been different. What was your view like?

Where I live (Issaquah, WA) the clouds came in just long enough to totally block our view of the moon. Now, of course, the sky is blue and clear. I suspect a conspiracy.

Same here 4dotsasieni. Clear all day and thick clouds for eclipse time. I set my alarm for it as I'm not as far west as you. Oh well, there's a few more of them coming in the next while, maybe next time.

Connecticut was socked in with clouds and then heavy rain. Had we been able t see the moon, it would have been full, as Passover always occurs on the first full moon in Spring.

Couldn't see the moon or if it was red as predicted. Raining and cloudy here in Tennessee last night. Too bad, it would have been interesting to see.

Fortunately for me California had nice clear skies for the most part so I had a nice view. Crazy part is on the way back home as the moon was going down it looked to be 4xs it's size!! It was HUGE!! Felt like it was a painting, and it was a yellow From my view, although I was viewing it through the lingering smog of LA, possibly contributed lol!

I walked to the shop about the time when it was on, got outside my back door, lit up a fag, looked at the moon and thought 'oh that's a bit odd' and thought nothing more of it till I got home and looked at the news. Felt like a right prat.

This thread makes me feel so much better. I feel like there is a law in North Carolina that all eclipses will

be buried in deep cloud cover. But I see nearly everyone else has the same experience. When I am able,

I always observe solar and lunar eclipses. Lunar eclipses are pleasant because you don't have to project

them through a pinhole onto a screen (sheet of paper) to protect your eyes. For this eclipse, I was fast

asleep or listening to the rain.
