I'm going to be looking at a collection of 28 vintage pipes in a nearby town. I think most of the pipes in this collection are not first rank pipes. Dr. Grabows, Kaywoodies, Medicos etc., but the owner mentioned that one of the pipes is a Thayne. I think this is a second, but if anyone can fill me in on who makes Thaynes and how good a smoker they generally are it'd be a big help in determining what I should offer for the whole collection or just for this one pipe.
