Yes, I've worked with both of those suppliers. Don Carey at wholeleaf is a good guy, knows his stuff, and is responsive to his customers. He's an honest broker. I would heartily recommend him as a vendor.
Leafonly is a different story. I found them to be unresponsive to customers concerns. Better marketing than Don, but don't be fooled by that.
Both companies sell what they are able to buy, which varies, quality-wise. I would like to find a source that has a broader and deeper product range in the non-cigar tobacco area, with consistently high grade leaf.
It's a small market for vendors right now, but one that will grow rapidly once the expanded draconian taxes on pipe tobacco take effect. In short order we may all be doing our own "personal use only" pipe blend manufacturing.
