Hey guys, so i was looking around for a temporary lighter untill i got more lighter fluid and i found a Electric lighter that looks like it'd kinda go into a pipe, and im wondering if anyones ever used one.

My problem is i cant see it getting a relite at the bottom of the bowl or getting all the tobacco around the edge of the pipe. But i dont know i never knew such a thing existed untill now. =p

I don't have any experience or much faith in electric lighters. If I were looking for an inexpensive, temporary lighter I would look at Imco or Bentley. Of course Zippo too.

Yeah i ended up looking more into it, i only was interested cause it looked fun, i dont have much faith either, i got a guy to write me back who has one and he said it only lights what the coil touches so it wouldent be good for pipe tobacco, so its basically more of a pot heads hit stick.
i actually found some lighter fluid in town today, first time anyones had any in months, its either sold out or people dont carry it anymore.
I was using matches there for a little while, but they sure dont like wind and its ALWAYS windy up here in the mountains.
So i got my zippo back, though i still might get one of these electric lighters one day just to play with, not to actually use on a pipe, it looks interesting for other purposes too.

If that thing had an inch and a half long barrel it might be worth trying out if one resides in windy climes.

Sorry above post has self destructed. I've had cheap ones last a long time and expensive ones die quickly.
