Tony Fillenwarth is one of my favorite American carvers. I first became aware of Tony through the PipePhil website, when I was looking at an article about wax drip pipes, something that Tony does exceptionally well. He’s carved two wax drips for me and I’ve bought a number of others from him over the years.
Every one of them has been an exceptionally good smoker.
I hadn’t heard from Tony for awhile and at the beginning of the week got an announcement from him regarding new pipes.
The last thing I need is another pipe, but this one really caught my eye.
Check out the stem material, which is made by an artisan in Indonesia, in very small batches. The bowl’s rustication echoes the trippy stem.
Here are a couple of pix.
BTW, his pricing is more than reasonable.

Check out Fillenwarth Pipes. Tony is great to work with when commissioning a pipe.
