Another Restoration Attempt

Have been neglecting a restoration that I have been wanting to do. Finally I decided today I was going to take the time to do it. I traded for this Savinelly Autograph a while back on here, and it's finally ready to go. I had to stop finally on the top before I started to pull any stain off. I wish I could have finished with it, but overall I'm happy with how it turned out. My first sandblast to work on.

Ditto on the shape bit. I like that flared backside of the bowl. I only have one autograph but it's a great English smoker. The only thing that keeps me from smoking it more often is the bowl is so darn big.

Thanks fellas, I'm quite partial to the shape myself. Still trying to decide if it is going to stay here or not. I heard people say autographs were large pipes, but understimated them a little. Just not sure if the size is for me.

That looks beautiful. What did you use to remove the old finish on the pipe? Was it acetone or mineral spirits?

Riskybusiness, I didn't remove the finish. I just slowly and gently cleaned the pipe as thoroughly as I could. The finish you see is the original finish brough back as best as I could.
