I'm a little too messy to use that for drying tobacco, since I also often mix it and load my pipes over the bowl

I use, but for a pipe rest, this is great, and a great prop for pipe photos. Most appealing piece.

Very cool, Fish! Cyprus?
Being in Maine and have 20 years experience cutting and splitting wood for fuel my thoughts are it's grey birch, it's light and got the right patterns of heartwood and crotch grain.
