The Warden spotted this one and said “I don’t hate that, you should get it.” Made by Loevsky & Loevsky of Carlstadt, NJ. I originally thought 1960s but further research says probably 1930s.

I believe it was electroplated brass and I lost a lot of that during the initial cleaning, so I went with a gloss gold spray paint. I tried to keep it accurate to the period, but I think I ended up channeling my Grandma Iannucci! She had a massive chandelier and I know it was in my parents attic before the house was sold. I was hoping to incorporate some of the crystals from it but no luck in locating it. So off to Amazon I went. I did flip flop the marble piece that was under the base before (mistakenly I think). Happy with it. Let’s see if the Warden still doesn’t hate it!

View attachment 432329Not as pretty as the one on top, but my Mom in the fifties got this one and a white one for buying furniture a lanoupe as said in Cajun land.

@tbradsim1 that's beautiful and fully intact! I picked up it's blue cousin some month's back but sadly the ashtray wasn't with it. My local antique shop just got in a pink version WITH the ashtray and he priced it at $150.
