I am happy to report that I just got another one of the little annoying bugs in the system fixed.
This is in relation to comments on the main site's articles and in the user blogs.
Now, when you comment, if you are a registered user and you are logged in to the site, your comment will automatically publish.
I think at least half of the valid comments made by logged in members were being flagged for review as potential spam. Every day I have been unspamming stuff, not only in the main site, but in some of your individual blogs as well. I think most of the bloggers here didn't realize it was happening, and I didn't want to bother you guys trying to tell you to login to your blog backend everyday to check for comments.
Anyway, that crap is fixed.
If you make a blog post and you find regular members comments going to spam, you have to activate the "Never Moderate Registered Users 2.0" plugin.
I am manually activating it for everyone that wrote a blog in the last 8 months.

Congratulations to Cortezattic for being one of the most active commenters and therefore one of the most moderated by the previous flaw. I just published so many old comments by the poor guy that never got published before.
LOL. Sorry Larry. ;-)

Way to go Kevin!

I love reading Larry's comments, they are first class....

except of course when they have no class....

:)

Sorry... I couldn't let an opportunity like that go to waste.
Thanks again Kevin.

Thanks Kevin. And, I think, Lawrence. LOL

I was beginning to feel ignored, especially by "all y'all."

But as you can infer by my undaunted persistence, I've never been one to let being ignored prevent me from posting.

(When you're married to Mrs. Cortez you get used to it.)

Kevin, is there anyway we can make it so that our IP addresses don't show underneath our names when we comment on a blog? I could see everyone's IP addresses when I replied to my most recent blog post. Thanks.

Jason, the IP address does not show on the public side, even if you are a logged in member. They only show to the blog admin when you are looking at your own blog.
The purpose of this is to make it easy to ban spammers.
As the overall site admin, I do not even see commenters IP addresses when looking at your blog on the front end. I only see them in the back.
(Edited for slight correction)

Ah. Gotcha! Thanks for the quick reply, Kevin!

*edit: Kevin, I'm at a coffee shop and got a warning that the IP I'm on is banned by the site. I went back to the main page, clicked on forums and got back here with no other problems. What was that?

That's totally weird. That IP is not on the banned list.
