I never paid any attention to this legislative stuff until I started seeing news stories about how vaping is in the crosshairs of regulatory bureaucrats. I fail to see how it is productive to punish the safer alternatives to cigarettes when it is specifically cigarettes that are the cause almost all health and societal problems related to smoking.

The cynical blaming of nicotine as the cause of health problems is also wrong, both scientifically and ethically.

Heavy-handed over-regulation is everywhere now.

There's no such thing. Nicotine itself is toxic and was once used as an insecticide. A 60mg dose of nicotine is fatal.

Many substances can be toxic at a high enough dosage...while at a lower dose can be therapeutic.
