Just received my first meer pipe yesterday.
Since there are some positive feedback about the AND meer pipe, I decided to give it a try.
First of all, here are some interesting things I get from AND.
1.
"if you buy a mini meerschaum, and it displays any faults right after the first few smokes, I will refund/replace
whatever you choose."
With this kind of "backup", I cant see why not giving it a try.
2. (I believe this is the most interesting thing about "pressed meer")
They are heavy like a rock. They appeared in the market in 1980s but did not stay for long.
Nevertheless they left a bad reputation behind, but I don't think there is anyone left out there that sells them; perhaps some Chinese companies.
Anyone have any comments about "no pressed meer out in the market"?
Anyway, I believe the one I have received is made from block meer.
However, the crafting is quite bad comparing to what I have seen in my local pipe store (Servi).
This is kind of another reason why I believe it is made from block.. lol
This pipe is what I am looking for. A small bowl (about 10 to 15 mins) that can smoke multiple times.
And I really like how it smoke.
However, I do like smoking briar pipe more. Holding a wood made pipe gives me a better "feeling in smoking".
Conclusion (after smoking 3 bowls)
You actually get something better than what you pay.
But still there is no way for it to beat the better brand (like Servi, SMS, etc).
If you want something looks great and have some extra money, I don't think AND is the best choice.
If you want a meer pipe and have limited budget, AND is what you are looking for.
p.s. I am not working for AND.
