An Experiment With Leftovers

Hi all - i am trying an experiment and wonder if any of you have done this. I am drying an estimated bowl full on a manilla file folder for each smoke. I pack my bowl and often there is a little bit left. Rather than pour it back into the parent stock jar I am putting all the leftovers into a separate jar. When the jar is full I will have what I am terming a "Suicide Blend" - sort of like mixing all the fountain drinks in one glass. It may be dreadful but I am having fun!

I tried it. At one point my personal “grand croupier” as I called it was actually pretty good—better than some of the tobaccos that went into it. But at some point the percentage Latakia got too high, and this with the really strong burleys that got tossed in made it harsh tasting.

I call mine Frankenblend. It's made up of whatever leftovers I've got.

Somehow or another I've managed to end up with quite a few jars that are unlabeled and very much unfull lol. I've toyed with collecting all of my leftovers and unknowns for use as barter in a post-apocalyptic world type scenario.

one time ago I had a few pipes which did not smoke to the bottom so what was left unsmoked tobacco I put in a can and tried to smoke it when I had enough for a bowl...That stuff was outrageous nasty...I could not even finish up the bowl...

Hmm that’s an interesting thought, I might start doing this for fun. Although based on the 2nd reply I may tweak it and keep it primarily VA heavy blends in one jar, Latakia blends in another, etc….or go full suicide blend, who knows!

I have a jar of the same thing. It smells weird and I don’t know if I’ll ever smoke it.

I misread your post and thought you were adding manila folder ribbon cut to your blends!
